FiA: Cloudy Days

Hello Lovelies!!!

Today's post I am sooooo happy with. Not only did I try my first saran wrap manicure using 4 colors but I also stamped over it. So for the Cloudy Day manicure, I was going to create dark clouds on my nails using saran wrap.

I started out with 2 coat of China Glaze Immortal, which is dark grey with blue and pink shimmer in it from there Halloween collection. Once dry I used saran wrap and dabbed on Julep Jessica, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, and Billie French White. Once those were all dry I dabbed on a bit of China Glaze Immortal. I then added one coat of Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat, to make it look like the clouds are wet from raining.

I loved my nails like that but then I decided I haven't stamped in a while since Ive been soo busy frankening that I decided to use my BM-312 plate and stamp clouds over it using Konad Black. And I think the stamp completed it all. I am in love with how well this manicure turned out :)

Fall Into Autumn: Apples

Hello lovelies!!!

Sorry for being so MIA this week. It has been one crazy week at work. I ended up wearing my back to school nails till last night, I changed them to Zoya Carly and of course after a 10 hr day at work I forgot to take a picture of them :( And today they were too chipped.

But I do have a Fall Into Autumn challenge for you today. Tomorrow im going to a local flea market for some fresh fruits and veggies and then going to our local fall fair at night for the demolition derby so this manicure is quiet suitable id say. The challenge is Apples.

For this manicure I started out with 2 coats of Essence Color & Go Modern Romance. Once dry I used 2 coats of Orly Fresh to draw on the apples. I then topped those of with Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide *Its a brand new core color, they just redid there whole line, new bottles and brush, same great formula thou*. Once all that was dry I drew on the stems, leafs, and shine with a Green Stripe Rite, Art Club Black, and Finger Paints Hip Hip Hue-ray.

I absolutely love the way this turned out. I do have to give inspiration to all the ladies in this challenge, as these adorable apple nails made me try these.

True Blood

Hey dolls, hope you all had a great weekend!!! Mine was really relaxing up north. Got to see a cute little town Ive never been to, lay by the lake and watch a family of deer outside the dining room window. There were 4 adults and 2 babies and they were absolutly adorable!!!! Ill post a few pics at the end of them. Sorry for the bad quality as it was through the window and they kept moving around all over the place, ha ha.

So for tonight's manicure I decided to do a True Blood one since the 5th season ends today. I'm very sad as im a huge True Blood fan, read all the books and seen all the episodes. So I figured it be very fitting. Since each finger is different ill tell you what I used on each finger after the picture :)

Thumb : Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, then I hand wrote True with Finger Paints Hip Hip Hue-ray Striper, and Blood with a Red Stripe Rite.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of Essence Color & Go in Nude It, then I used a Red Stripe Rite
 to draw on the blood.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl, I stamped on the fangs/lips with plate OB26 and Konad White. I then filled in the lips with a Red Stripe Rite.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, I then sponged on China Glaze Hey Sailor and a bit of  Red Stripe Rite on the tips.

Pinkie: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White, I then used an old brush and splattered on China Glaze Hey Sailor and Orly Liquid Vinyl. Was my first time splattering polish :)

I really love the way this turned out. I definatly think it represents True Blood. And im so glad I got the OB26 plate as I love the fang image!!!!

Now for the adorable deer :)

Olympic Closing Ceremonies

So since today is the Olympic closing ceremonies and I haven't done an Olympic manicure yet, even thou Ive watched them every day lol. I figured this was the perfect time to finally do one before it was too late.

I wanted to do 5 different designs on my nails so it took a bit of planing but I love the way it turned out. I used alot of different polishes for this so ill list them after the picture :)

Thumb: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I used different sized dotting tools to make the rings. For the London I used the Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black again.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. The white stripe is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black. I then did a coat of Orly Shinning Star and then a coat of Julep O'Canada.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor and I used a Finger Paints stripper in Hip hip hue-ray to do the diagonal white lines.

Pinkie:  Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I just used a thin brush to paint the lines.

All this was done free hand and I love the way it turned out. Think its really colorful and spirited.

Also just wanted to give you all a friends reminder about my blog sale which you can find on the tab at the top. I'm also willing to swap from stuff on my wish list <3

Adventure in Stamping : Hot Hot Hot!!!

Sundays challenge this week in Adventures in Stamping is Hot Hot Hot!!! My interpretation of this would either be bright neon colors, or a sexy design. So I decided to combine the two!!! This manicure took me just over 3 hours to do... And that's with a crappy clean up as y skins dry and 2 didnt want to ruin the manicure before the pictures he he.

I started out with 2 coats of Billie French White. I then free handed on rainbow stripes, doing 2 coats of each. The colors I used were: Orly Beach Cruiser (pink), Orly Melt Your Popsicle (orange), Orly Glow Stick (yellow), Finger Paints Silkscreen Green (green) and Orly Blue Collar (blue). I tried to choose my brightest creams for this manicure.

As much as I loved these by them self, they of course needed some stamping :) I used my DRK-A plate and the konad black polish and decided to do leopard print, since animal print is sexyy!!!!

I find the stamping on my right hand turned out but, but prefer the stripes on my left hand lol. I absolutly love this manicure thou, its sooo bright and fun, definatly plan to leave this one on till Monday especially after all the work it too and the fact that I cant stop looking at them :)

Now in case you guys didnt see I have a giveaway for 2 new Orly Glam FX going on so make sure to go check it out and enter it :)

Hope you all are having a great weekend!!!! <3333

Lime green animal print

Have you guys even seen a neon's collection and not be inclined to buy one? I was like that with the finger paints new neon collection. I think this was mostly due to me already own all the new China Glaze Summer Neon's. However after staring at them for almost a week at work I decided to purchase there Silkscreen green. Its a neon lime green that goes opaque in 2 coats. It applied really well and actually had quiet a bit of shine to it without a top coat which is really strange for a neon.

Isn't that ridiculously bright? I could stop staring at my nails they were sooo distracting!! Now what could make neon nails even better you ask? Well how about some purple adn black cheetah print with an accent nail of zebra :)

I decided to freehand the design since I haven't done animal print in which seems like forever. And i really like this color combination :) I used 2 stripe rites to do it.

But if you guys want to see more awesome untried polishes head on over to some other lovely ladies in my birthday group!!!

April showers bring may flowers challenge : Spring Pastels

Today I'm starting a new challenge that you can do at your own pace. It has 14 different themes, all relating to spring of course, that you can do when you have time but in the right order. She has a face book group created that you can join to participate in and post the photos/blog post with others to share :)
Hannah from Polished Prisms created this challenge and you can see a list of the themes and her blog post about it here.
I'm really excited about this challenge as I cant always do the ones where you have to complete them on certain days. I don't usually have enough time to do them all or spend as much time on them as id like. So at least with this I can do it when I have the free time to dedicate towards it.
So for today's Spring Pastels I decided to do a skittle manicure as a base for tomorrows Easter eggs :).
I surprisingly own a ton of pastels so it was hard to decided on which colors to use.

I decided to go with Finger Paints Aren't you glad-iolous?, OPI Banana  bandanna, China Glaze, Aquadelic, Orly Cotton candy, and Sally Girl # 812165. I then applied a coat of my SF 35 top coat over each finger to give it some shimmer :)

I love the color combo of this and cant wait to turn this into Easter eggs tomorrow :)

Double lightening bolt

I loved the color combo I did for yesterday's manicure and couldn't bring myself to take it off, so I decided to use it as the base for my first double lighting bolt manicure.

So the base was Orly Fresh with Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed. I then used China Glaze Midnight Kiss and Orly Liquid Vinyl for the lightening bolts. Then I used Finger Paints Flecked over the whole nail. The Flecked over top of Toxic Seaweed and is sooo pretty, but as per usual the camera doesn't capture it as good as it is n person but it still looks pretty in the pictures!!

I must say I love the color combo of this, and although it took me a while since it was my first time this will definitely be a go to easy nail art as the second hand was way quicker than the first :)

Also just a reminder that my give away starts at midnight and goes for a week!!!

FP Circus Peanuts and Zoya Rica

So ive seen alot of people do this color combination and since Zoya rica happeneds to be one of the two Zoyas I own I figured id try it out and see just how amazing it is!!

Now i wasnt going to buy FP Circus peanuts but I did just for this mani. I found it was a bit thick to apply but 2 careful coats did the trick.

It definatly a very pretty color and I think it would be great for the summer.

Now I layerd 2 coats of Zoya rica, which is an amazing color!!! So sparkly I loveeee it!!

I love how it shines from like yellow to orange to a pinky red. It has to be one of my favorites right now. Also this color applied sooo nice. Could of gotten away with one coat but for some reason I always like to do two :)

Had a nail morning

So since its my day off today I decided to do my finger and toe nails today. You know days off are always great for that, you got all the time you need to choose the colors and let it dry.

So for my toes I used 3 coats of Disney Villians # 53 to get it nice and opaque and then I did one coat of my SF 35 topcoat.

And here a close up of the one toe, dont mind the bit on the skin :)

I absolutly loveee the way this turned out, you can see the sparkle soooo well.

Now I joined the Purple Crumpet fairy challenge this week

This is my first week doing it. We are on the "Favorite spring lilac or peach". Since i couldnt choose I did peach on the left hand and lilac on the right.

So for the left hand I used CG Peachy Keen and on the ring and thumb I did a coat of SF 35 topcat.

This is with bounced light

This is in direct light

And this is with a flash.

I think almost any color looks better with sparkle!!! Only downfall of this mani is I find peachy keen goes on really think and if your not careful can be streaky :(

So now for the right hand. I did Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous?., and again i did the SF 35 topcoat on the thumb and ring finger.

This is with bounced light

This is in direct light

And this is with a flash

This color is a dream to apply, to even coats and its perfect, and its also like that perfect lilac color. Which again looks stunning with sparkle :)

Anywho I may when I have spare time go back and complete the few crumpet challenges ive missed :)
