Party Nails!!!!

Hey dolls!!!!

Thought id do a quick post and show you guys what I did today for my 25th birthday party tonight. I decided to do a pink theme since I loveeee pink. And since I love to bake of course I made my own cupcakes!!! I decided to do a dark chocolate cupcake with fresh raspberry icing!!! I even took fresh raspberries and simmered them down!! They are delicious!!!

I then decided to make some yummy Jell-o shooters!!! Since my favorite flavor is Fuzzy Navel (orange jell-o and peach schnapps) I used my pink Jell-o shooter cups to put them in.

And last but definatly not least the pink nails!!! I wanted pink but with a twist so I painted my nails with 4 coats of Billie Electric Pink, then used 2 coats of Julep Katie in different angels, and on Julep Kate I used a Black Stripe Rite to make Zebra print. I must say I really love the way these turned out!!

And that's the start of my party tonight!!! Now to go find something to wear to fit with my theme!! I hope you all have a great weekend <3

My halloween nails

Hey dolls!!!

Today was my first day in my new store, and I cant tell you how exciting it is!!!! I have a meeting all day tomorrow so I had to do my Halloween manicure tonight. I decided to go the simple colorful route this time.

I started out with 3 coats of OPI Hi, Pumpkin. I then did one coat of Julep Anne on the tips. I then took a Black Stripe Rite and drew on the spider webs. When that was all done I decided it needed something else so I made a glow-in-the-dark top coat out of pigment I got the other day. I got 6 different glow colors and for this one I choose green :)
I got the inspiration for the design from this blog.

I cant believe how well the glow pigment works. this was only after about a minute of exposing my nails to the night. Its insane!!! bad thing is is that you can see anywhere it touches the skin so it took me a while to clean up.

Anyways I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween <3!!!!!

Fall into Autumn: Halloween

Hey dolls!!!

Its the end of the week again!!!! Tomorrow is my last day at my current store and its quiet sad, ill miss my girls, but im also really excited for whats ahead. I was nice yesterday and decided to bake the girls cupcakes before I left. So I made them Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter chips. Topped with Peanut Butter icing with chocolate chips on it. They are delicious!!!

But enough about cupcakes and onto some nails. Today I have the Halloween challenge for you. I think this is my first post using my light box. I need to get a new light that doesn't make my skin look orange, and will get me a bit more light but its getting there :)

So for the Halloween mani I decided to use 5 different colors, with 5 different glitter, and different stamps on each.

Thumb : China Glaze Pelican Grey, Nubar Black Polka Dots, Plate OB26
Pointer: China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Franken - Zombie Rot, Plate OB26
Middle: Julep Anne, Cult Nails Seduction, Yellow Stripe Rite,  Plate BM-305
Ring: Sally Girl Banana, Franken - Witches Brew, Plate BM-301
Pinkie: China Glaze Orange You Hot, Franken - Sweets N' Treats, Plate BM-305

Fall into Autumn: Autmn Ombre/Gradient

Hello again lovelies!!!!!

I decided to do the second challenge post right away as im sooooo excited for this one!!! I'm soo in love with the mani, it turned out better then what I had hoped!!!!!

I saw an awesome tutorial on YouTube by Robin Moses called Love Birds , I decided to use her tutorial for this manicure but not to do the birds and to bring the leaves and branches further up the nails. My goal was to make it look like falling leaves but to use all the colors of the rainbow like Robin did.

I started out with 2 coats of Barry M Nude as the base. I must say I love this color, its nice and sheer and matches my skin tone!!!!! I couldn't stop starring at it and it was only a nude!!!

Since I used so much for this manicure Ill break it down by hand :) I did use a mix of brown and black acrylic paint for the branches.

For the left hand I used the following :

China Glaze Hey Sailor
China Glaze Riveting
China Glaze Orange You Hot
Julep Hayden
Julep Blake
China Glaze Electric Pineapple
Acrylic Paints

For the right hand I used the following:

OPI Who The Shrek Are You
China Glaze Entourage
China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
China Glaze Frostbite
China Glaze Tempest
Julep Anne
Acrylic Paints

Now sorry for the picture spam of the nails!!!!! I took soo many pictures and narrowed it down to 6 pictures out of about 40!!

I am so in love with this, Robin does a great tutorial and made it soo easy to recreate. Ill definatly be keeping this on for a while, but I do have other manis saved up to show you guys later on in the week so stay tuned :)

Fall into Autumn : Leaves

Hey dolls,

Hope you all are having a great weekend, and for my Canadian followers, I hope you all are having a happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I am going away on Monday for 5 days with the hubby to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. But while im gone on Tues-Thursday there will be posts on 3 OPI mini sets, so make sure to check them out :)

So for today's post I have the next Fall into Autumn challenge for you which is leaves. A while ago I made a fall franken called Autumn Rising. Its inspired by the changing eave colors of fall, so I thought it was appropriate to use that for today's post.

These swatches are 1 coat alone, 1 coat over black, and 1 coat over Julep Rachel.

But for today's manicure I decided to start off with 2 caots of OPI Taking the Stage, from the Burlesque collection. And then do 1 layer of Autumn Rising over top.

I do really like this combination, I think it really shows the colors of the fall.

Well dolls you'll get 1 more post from me tomorrow, and then dont forget about the scheduled posts!!!

Julep Sandra

Hey dolls!!!!

Hope you all had a great week!!! Mine was pretty good, caught up with an old co worker, starting playing WoW again, hung with my bestie, seen the niece and nephews today, and got a job promotion!!!! Ill have my own store as of November and I cant wait!!!! So needless to say this week has been busy. I did however paint my nails a few times this week. Once was China Glaze Dorthy Who and the other was Julep Sandra, as im trying to use my untried's :)

I was very pleasantly surprised with Julep Sandra, Its an awesome almost neon/metallic pink. I cant figure out why I haven't tried this before. It only took 2 coats and applied really well.

Isn't it gorgeous??? I kept looking at my nails even thou they were just a solid color. definitely gonna be getting some use out of this next summer.

Tomorrow ill show you all Dorthy Who, but for tonight its now bed times for me. Hope you all have a great weekend <3

FiA: Cloudy Days

Hello Lovelies!!!

Today's post I am sooooo happy with. Not only did I try my first saran wrap manicure using 4 colors but I also stamped over it. So for the Cloudy Day manicure, I was going to create dark clouds on my nails using saran wrap.

I started out with 2 coat of China Glaze Immortal, which is dark grey with blue and pink shimmer in it from there Halloween collection. Once dry I used saran wrap and dabbed on Julep Jessica, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, and Billie French White. Once those were all dry I dabbed on a bit of China Glaze Immortal. I then added one coat of Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat, to make it look like the clouds are wet from raining.

I loved my nails like that but then I decided I haven't stamped in a while since Ive been soo busy frankening that I decided to use my BM-312 plate and stamp clouds over it using Konad Black. And I think the stamp completed it all. I am in love with how well this manicure turned out :)

LDoS: Inspired by something in your house

Good morning everyone, the posting of the Lazy Days of Summer challenges continue!!! The first one of the day is "Inspired by something in your house". For this one it was a no brain-er for me. I am in love with my drapes. They are grey with black circles so that I can change the other colors around and they will still match.

So for the manicure I started out with 2 coats of Julep Stefani. Its a really pretty color, goes on in 2 coats but is a bit streaky. I then used Finger Paints Ch-art-coal Black Striper to free hand on parts of the circles.

I think I captured it pretty good. I didnt want to do whole circles so I think the partial circles capture the drapes well. Kind of like the movement you get in them.

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

Olympic Closing Ceremonies

So since today is the Olympic closing ceremonies and I haven't done an Olympic manicure yet, even thou Ive watched them every day lol. I figured this was the perfect time to finally do one before it was too late.

I wanted to do 5 different designs on my nails so it took a bit of planing but I love the way it turned out. I used alot of different polishes for this so ill list them after the picture :)

Thumb: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I used different sized dotting tools to make the rings. For the London I used the Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black again.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. The white stripe is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black. I then did a coat of Orly Shinning Star and then a coat of Julep O'Canada.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor and I used a Finger Paints stripper in Hip hip hue-ray to do the diagonal white lines.

Pinkie:  Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I just used a thin brush to paint the lines.

All this was done free hand and I love the way it turned out. Think its really colorful and spirited.

Also just wanted to give you all a friends reminder about my blog sale which you can find on the tab at the top. I'm also willing to swap from stuff on my wish list <3

My first braid manicure

Hey dolls, I'm sorry for not posting early today or last night. Last night I was busy taking pictures of all the polishes I have up for sale and adding them to my blog sale tab, so please make sure you go take a peak. And this morning I had an emergency with my cat. I woke up to him peeing blood. I was really worried as there was blood on my carpet so I called the vet got an appointment and took my Merf in. All day I was worried sick about him, got a call this afternoon and hes okay!!! He has irritable bladder syndrome (or something like that). Apparently his diet, stress and other things can cause his bladder to bleed. Since hes so young and there no cure for it im gonna have to watch him, change his diet and keep him calm. Even thou I have no idea why he'd be stressed. So tomorrow after work I get to pick my fur-baby back up and the vet will educate me some more.

Now that you guys got to hear about my stressful day, I figured I needed a very happy manicure to lift my spirits so I decided to try my first braid manicure since it would be colorful :) I must say I love how easy this manicure is!!! I do find that my right hand turned out much best which is weird since im right handed.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Aquadelic, China Glaze Dance Baby and Julep Blake. For the solid nails I used 2 coats of the China Glazes which applied beautifully, and 3 coats of Julep Blake which was a big streaky mess but I love the color. For the braid part I started with 2 coats of Dance Baby and then used 1 coat of each for the braid.

I must say I love this color combo even thou it is kinda Easter-ey. I did want to show you both my left hand and right so you can see the improvement. You can see on my right hand the spacing of the braids are much more even. Although I wish the tips were smoother didnt realize that just looking at them, nor the hair on the left lol. But besides that im in love!!!

Anyways dolls, time for bed for me to get some rest before work and before my Merf comes home <3

Julep O'Canada

Hey lovelies, hope you all are having a great week already. Yesterday and today I got some fantastic nail mail!!! Yesterday I came home to my Julep box and a swap and then today I got my W7 polishes that I bought!!!! Also I quickly just wanted to let you all know I created a facebook page for my blog, so go on over and like it if you'd like to be in touch with me ever more <3

First off is my lovley swap from a girl in my birthday group, she got my my first Nubars - Treasure and Brillaint!!!! They are sooo pretty and cant wait to try these babies out!!!

For my Julep box this month I choose It Girl (Mila, Kate, and Daphne), I got O' Canada for free since im Canadian and I added on America and Chelsea.

And I got 5 of the W7 Metallic Planets collection - Neptune, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus. Ill post a manicure of these tomorrow so stay tuned <3

Now for today mani I decided to try out Juleps O'Canada over Orly Skinny Dip. In love the colors in O'Canada but it was sooo thick. The only good thing was that I didnt have to fish for the red glitter but it was a big gloppy mess to apply. However I do love the end color combo.

I really wish I had this polish for Canada day, I soooo would have rocked it :) But there is always next year ;). Now I dont know if you guys remember about a week ago when I dyed my hair? Well I fianly have a picture for you all!!! It doesnt do the base color complete justice but it shows you whtat color it is :)

It is more purple in person, but I am in love with this color. Ill defiantly be rocking it for a while :)

CG I Herd That over Kalahari Kiss

As you guys saw on my post yesterday I picked up to of the new China glaze Safari Colors, I Herd That and Kalahari Kiss. I figured these would look gorgeous together and man was I ever right. I was staring at my nails all day today.

Kalahari Kiss is a pale camel cream that applies really nice. Took two even coats for full coverage.

I then did one layer of I Herd That which is a glitter that has gold, copper, and tan glitter in it. It applies really nice with even glitter coverage. This color is sooo amazing!!!!

I love how this is high impact glitter but a pretty neutral color. Would be a great combo for New Years or a special occasion where you want some glamour but nothing crazy.

Now today I also recieved my first Julep Mystery box and I was sooo underwhelmed by it. I got a nail file, Emma & Gayle polishes, Julep Elixir,  Glycolic Scrub and the Hand Brightening cream. Those colors are soo not me.

I may give the mystery box one more try next time to see if it gets any better but right now I definatly prefer the boxes where you get to see what your getting.

Anyways I hope you all had a great day :)

ASBMF: May Flowers

I actually did this manicure last night but it was 2 am by the time I finished it so bed took over before I did a blog post :) I have been debating on what to do for this manicure for a while and finally came up with an idea I liked.

I started off with 2 coats of Julep Niecy. Its a deep pink cream, the application was great. I love this color because its bright but not neon.

I then did 2 coats of China Glaze Shower Together halfway up the nail, once that was dried I used Konad special white polish and Flirty plate B25 to stamp the flowers, and a dotting tool to add on the dots around the flowers and for the yellow centers :)

I really love this color combination and think its perfect for the spring :) I cant believe that i'm almost done this challenge!! I only got 2 more manicures to do if i'm not wrong. I have had a blast doing the and hope you guys have enjoyed them as well <3

PAA / PCFC Butterflys and PCFC Spring Stripes

So today I did 2 challenges in one. Yesterday the PCFC was butterflies as well as today's in PAA. And tomorrow PCFC is spring stripes. So I decided to combine the two into one cute spring manicure :)

For the spring stripes I used Julep Blake, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, China Glaze Sweet Hook and Orly Cotton Candy. I think they worked really well together. All are a pastel cream and they took 2 coats two create this look. I then did a layer of my SF-35 topcoat on it for a bit of shimmer.

I then used my Art Club Black striper, and my White Stripe Rite to create the butterfly on the thumb and ring finger. I decided to only do it on 2 nails so that you can see the full stripes on the other 2 nails.

I really like the way the stripes  look as the butterfly wings, and cant believe how easy these wings were to create. I'm totally in love with them :)

Hello Kitty is ready for St. Patties day!!!!

Today's green manicure I decided to be a bit more creative for since it was my day off. Ive been wanting to use my hello kitty off of my MLS-05 stamp so I figured it would be the prefect time to.

For the base of the manicure I used 2 colors for the base. On the thumb is 2 coats of China Glaze Re-Fresh Mine, on the pinkie and pointer is 2 coats of China Glaze Midnight Kiss with 1 coat of Julep Oscar, on the ring and middle is 2 coats of China Glaze Kinetic Candy.

I then did a diagonal section of China Glaze Entourage on the ring and middle finger. This is to represent the sky and grass.

I then stamped Hello Kitty on the thumb and did a rainbow, clouds and a sun on the ring and middle finger with acrylic paints.

So the idea behind this manicure is that the pinkie and pointer finger represent the pot of gold at the end of the rainbows. I wanted the grass to have some texture behind the rainbow so that's why I used acrylic paint on it. And I added the sun since usually its out during a rainbow :)

And in case you didn't see I made Hello Kitty's bow green to show off her Irish spirit :)

Now I will have to think of an even better idea for Saturdays manicure...

PCFC: Mr. Blue Sky

Todays Purple crumpet fairy challenge is Mr. Blue Sky so i decided to do a blue sky with fluffy white clouds :) kinda nice after the crazy winds, grey sky and snow we had here today.

For this I used two coats of China Glaze Electric beat as the abse coat, then used a Q-tip to sponge on China Glaze White on white to make a cloud look, and then on the corners i did a litle bit of Julep Portia for a bit of sparkle.

I also got a gift card at work today so this is what I bought :)

Left to right: China Glaze White on white (mine was getting really low), China Glaze Drawn to you, Chine Glaze Pull me close, China Glaze Magnet, Gelish You're so sweet you're giving me a toothache, and Orly Polished.

Tronica Skittles

So today after my interview I was already bored of my more natural manicure, so as soon as I got home it came off. It took me a while to decide what colors to use and then I realized its been ages since Ive used any of my China Glaze Tronicas. And when I realized I have only 5 of them it came to me to do a skittle mani with them :)

I absolutly loveee these colors. So from the thumb to the pinky is the following:
- Digital Dawn
- Gamer Glam
- High Def
- Techno Teal
- Laser Lime

All of these colors applied really smooth with only 2 coats, the holoness is them is incredible. My pictures really dont justify the polish. Really wish I had a balcony to take these pictures in the sunlight :)

Now I also received my Julep box today. In it was Alicia a cream ligh pink/coral, which when I swatched it looks like a dupe of Finger Paints Circus Peanuts (Ill do a comparison this weekend on it) and Portia which is a gorgous jelly teal glitter, and the argan Elixir which ive used both in my hair and on my cuticles and is nice and light. Gives the hair great shine and smoothness as well :)

Oh and cant forget the free nail file as well:) Definatly love getting this every month. Every polish ive gotten from Julep so far ive loved.
