Fall Into Autumn: Football

Hey dolls!!!

Hope you all have been having a great week. Mine has been pretty busy yet again lol. I just finished spending like 2 hours on my nails, filling them all down again :( I had a nail start to break across earlier this week and i used Gelish on it to secure it, well today that also started to crack. Then of course I got it stuck in a desk drawer so now I have nubbins, and it feels sooo weird. But I must say the manicure im gonna show you tomorrow is stinking adorable!!!!!!

But onto today's nails!!!! Since today's challenge post is about footballs and im farrrrr from being a sports girl, I decided to do pink footballs since its also breast cancer month.

I started out with 3 coats of OPI Peddle Faster Suzi. Once dry I used a White Stripe Rite to paint on the football lines. OC course I then decided to add my SF topcoat too it since I realized I haven't used it in a while.

I loved how my nails have gotten more rounder as I think it compliments the footballs. I think I did a pretty good job with this challenge.

But make sure to stop by tomorrow and see my first time combining stamping and dots :D.

Now if you want to see more awesome manicures, head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

Revlon Grape Franken

I was snooping on the Spectraflair face book page the other day and saw a franken that Lori did with SF and Revlon Grape. Since it looked totally awesome I had to try it out. I filled about 2/3 of empty Seche Vite bottle with the Revlon Grape, then added 3 good scopes of SF-14 and then topped it up with clear and shock it like crazy, after adding in some silver balls. And this is what was created :)

I loved the way this turned out the holo was insane in the sun!!!! And I speak past tense there as I wore this today and already changed my manicure for tomorrow but ill post that tomorrow as im going away for the weekend again :)

Also thought id show you what I bought from Sephora today!1 I used these for my current manicure :)

I got a set of Tokidoki nail decals and one of there polishes called Stellina,
which is a pink and purple glitter!!! I also took another picture of my hair as promised, this was after putting hot rollers in it.

I'm loving the way the colors blend into each other, definatly gonna keep this for awhile :)

Hope you all have a great Friday <3

Butteryfly stamping

I know I said I was going away today but I got sent home from work sick today since I have like no voice and kept coughing, so I figured it was best not to go up to a trailer when its raining and cold and im sick :( Really sucks thou since I really wanted to go fishing but hopefully ill feel better for tomorrows trip down town.

Ohhh also I added labels to all my blog posts to make it easier to narrow things down for you guys :)

So since I stayed home I decided my nails needed something extra to cheer me up so I stamped over top of my neon's with the DRK-A plate and Konad white.

It was a hard decision on which image to use but I thought the butterfly's fit nicely with the bright colors, and I thought white would be softer looking then black. I cant even tell you how much im loving stamping. Its just so quick and easy. I cant wait till I get as good as some people Ive seen doing double stamps with full nails and small images on top. One day ill get there.

Any who I hope you all have a great weekend and that you guys get better weather then the rain that they are calling for here :)

Spectraflair on China Glaze Neons!!!!

Well dolls tomorrow is Friday!!!!! And im off for the weekend!!! Even thou Ive felt like crap these past few days, been really sick, im still looking forward to it. I got a busy weekend planned and wont be home till Sunday so ill be MIA for a few :( Gonna go fishing Friday and Saturday and then Saturday night going to down town Toronto to see the in-laws and go out. But I hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Now for my manicure for the weekend I wanted it to be simple but bright, just in case it gets any chips or anything. So I decided to use all 10 of the China Glaze shimmer Neon's and then put my
SF-14 topcoat over top in case its sunny this weekend.

On my left hand I used from thumb to pinky : Beach Cruise-r, Sun-kissed, Pink Plumeria, Splish Splash, and Love's a Beach.  The first picture is without flash the rest are with flash :)

For my right hand used from thumb to pinky: Surfin' for Boys, I'm With the Lifeguard, Hang-ten Toes, Orange You Hot?, and Flirty Tankini. The first picture is without flash the rest are with flash :)

If you want to see what they look like without the SF I do have a past blog post with all the colors swatches. But I must say I loveee the way these look with the SF. The holoness is insane!!!! I couldn't capture it fully with my camera. Hopefully I can get a better picture at some point this weekend.

Hope you all have a great weekend and talk to you all on Sunday!!! XO

The Nail Junkie Birthday Group Collection

A few months back I decided to make a set of polishes representing the lovely ladies in my birthday group. I made 2 of each one for me and one to send to the doll who's polish it was. It took me a while to make them all as I was waiting on SF and some stuff from TKB but after spending this morning making them like crazy they are done!!!! You can see individual swatches on my "Birthday Group" page if you'd like to see a larger picture and my color since I only have 10 fingers he he.

So I did decided to do a skittles manicure with them all. Each color has 2 coats. You may wonder why there are only 11, sadly one girl had to leave the group so for the 12th im trying to think of an awesome topcoat that would compliment all the colors. Also please excuse the nubbins, I broke a nail really short yesterday so had to file them all down :(

I names the polishes after the girl so the colors are as follows :)

Left picture thumb to pinky : Zoe, Alyssa B, Tracy, Helen, and Kathrin

Right picture thumb to pinky : Janelle, Alexia, Nicole, Alyssa C, and Miagi Cat

The girls are all loving them all and wanting them all so who knows I may make more of these or just more polish is the future. I did enjoy it just need to work out some kinks :)

Snoopy Nails :)

A little while ago I seen an awesome manicure done by Rachel over at Glam Polish. I loved everything about her manicure!!! Whats not to love thou about holo polish and snoopy? So after seeing this I had to order some of the nail water decals from Born Pretty. I ordered the Snoopy set and a Hello Kitty set.

Now one thing I learned about these water decals are if you try adn do it like a normal tattoo where you put the design on the nail and a wet sponge on top, I noticed the design was all white but I was able to peel it on my nail and flip it. So for the others i wet the paper and slid the design off and just placed it on my nail. Found this to be really easy, took me about 5 minutes to do both hands :)

I started out with 2 coats of a SF-35 polish I created a while back. I love Spectraflair and how versatile it is. I cant wait to make colored polishes with it.

I then used the Snoopy decals on my nails. Top two pictures are with flash bottom to are without.

Aren't they adorable!!!!! I cant even express how awesome these things are, soo affordable, soo quick and easy. Whats not to love? Ill defiantly probably be using these alot now after how much Ive fallen in love with them :)

Now tomorrow a new game comes out, so I do appologize if I'm away more often for the next week but im very excited about Diablo 3. However I do already have some blog posts ready for you lovely readers <3

Ladybugs :)

Here I go combining 2 challenges again :) PAA Monday challenge is polka dots and ASBMF day 2 challenge is Lady bugs. So i figured these two were easiest enough to combine as ladybugs have polka dots he he.

So since I didn't want the lady guys to totally overrun the manicure I only did them on my thumb and ring finger for accent but did polka dots on the others as well.

For the base I used 2 coats of China Glaze Vertical rush. I then used Orly Liquid Vinyl for the french tips, art club black stripper for the lady bug lines and a dotting tool for the dots. I used Billie French White for the eyes with the dotting tool also. I then did a layer of my SF 35 topcoat as I love the holoness, I'm kinda addicted to it he he.

My husband thinks that this is the best quality Ive done yet. That the "bring red" is just amazing. He he don't you love the way men describe things?

I love how well you can see the SF topcoat in these pictures. For once my camera actually captured it well. I cant remember the last time I painted all my nails red, but I must say I am liking it. And  the lady bugs are sooo fitting for spring :)

April showers bring may flowers challenge : Spring Pastels

Today I'm starting a new challenge that you can do at your own pace. It has 14 different themes, all relating to spring of course, that you can do when you have time but in the right order. She has a face book group created that you can join to participate in and post the photos/blog post with others to share :)
Hannah from Polished Prisms created this challenge and you can see a list of the themes and her blog post about it here.
I'm really excited about this challenge as I cant always do the ones where you have to complete them on certain days. I don't usually have enough time to do them all or spend as much time on them as id like. So at least with this I can do it when I have the free time to dedicate towards it.
So for today's Spring Pastels I decided to do a skittle manicure as a base for tomorrows Easter eggs :).
I surprisingly own a ton of pastels so it was hard to decided on which colors to use.

I decided to go with Finger Paints Aren't you glad-iolous?, OPI Banana  bandanna, China Glaze, Aquadelic, Orly Cotton candy, and Sally Girl # 812165. I then applied a coat of my SF 35 top coat over each finger to give it some shimmer :)

I love the color combo of this and cant wait to turn this into Easter eggs tomorrow :)

PAA / PCFC Butterflys and PCFC Spring Stripes

So today I did 2 challenges in one. Yesterday the PCFC was butterflies as well as today's in PAA. And tomorrow PCFC is spring stripes. So I decided to combine the two into one cute spring manicure :)

For the spring stripes I used Julep Blake, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, China Glaze Sweet Hook and Orly Cotton Candy. I think they worked really well together. All are a pastel cream and they took 2 coats two create this look. I then did a layer of my SF-35 topcoat on it for a bit of shimmer.

I then used my Art Club Black striper, and my White Stripe Rite to create the butterfly on the thumb and ring finger. I decided to only do it on 2 nails so that you can see the full stripes on the other 2 nails.

I really like the way the stripes  look as the butterfly wings, and cant believe how easy these wings were to create. I'm totally in love with them :)

Tip Stamping

Sorry for my lack of posts these past three days, Ive had a bad head cold and been really under the weather. But I did decide to do some stamping on my nails yesterday on top of the Billie Neon's I did the other day. I used MLS-05 on 2 fingers and on the other two I used Pretty and Polished Valentino :)

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. It was my first time doing stamping on my tips, I thought it was a bit hard to line up, so I had to do a few touch ups but overall it was pretty :)

Billie Neons

So this morning I woke up with a sore throat and its progressively gotten worse through out the day follower by a stuffy nose and feeling very blah, so I figured I needed some bright nails to cheer me up. The other day I purchased some Billies while looking for some for a friend. Both of these are only 2 coats!!! its amazing how well they went on and how ridiculously bright they are :) And yes I did each hand a different color. I couldn't just pick one he he.

Here is Billie Orange *First two pictures are with flash, last is with no flash*

Here is Billie Rose *First two pictures are with flash, last is with no flash*

Now as pretty as they are alone I thought it needed some holo so I added a coat of my SF-35 topcoat to both. First picture is Orange, second is Rose.

These polishes can be purchased at Dollar Tree or Dollar Giant in Canada. Aren't they just perfect for the summer???

Gradient nails

Im so excited, tomorrow morning I have a hairstylist job interview, so I decided to do a more "natural" manicure since the interview is with the district manager for this area :) And in planning for this manicure I bought 3 savvys from my current job for $0.99 each.

I cant tell you how weird it feels to have these colors on my nails, as I cant remember the last time they were this neutral.

So I started off with 2 coats of Savvy French Cafe. This color went on really smooth with 2 coats.

After this i sponged on with an eyeshadow applicator Savvy Mango, and then on the tips I added Savvy Icy Mauve. The Mango color I had to build up quiet abit to see ontop of French cafe, where as Icy Mauve went on reallyyyy nice. Then on top of this I added 2 coats of my SF-35 topcoat

I really love how blended this turned out and the sparkle that comes from the SF. Even thou its more nutral then anything I usually wear I love it and cant stop staring at my nails. Definatly must be the sparkle :)

Anyway wish me luck for tomorrow :)

Had a nail morning

So since its my day off today I decided to do my finger and toe nails today. You know days off are always great for that, you got all the time you need to choose the colors and let it dry.

So for my toes I used 3 coats of Disney Villians # 53 to get it nice and opaque and then I did one coat of my SF 35 topcoat.

And here a close up of the one toe, dont mind the bit on the skin :)

I absolutly loveee the way this turned out, you can see the sparkle soooo well.

Now I joined the Purple Crumpet fairy challenge this week

This is my first week doing it. We are on the "Favorite spring lilac or peach". Since i couldnt choose I did peach on the left hand and lilac on the right.

So for the left hand I used CG Peachy Keen and on the ring and thumb I did a coat of SF 35 topcat.

This is with bounced light

This is in direct light

And this is with a flash.

I think almost any color looks better with sparkle!!! Only downfall of this mani is I find peachy keen goes on really think and if your not careful can be streaky :(

So now for the right hand. I did Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous?., and again i did the SF 35 topcoat on the thumb and ring finger.

This is with bounced light

This is in direct light

And this is with a flash

This color is a dream to apply, to even coats and its perfect, and its also like that perfect lilac color. Which again looks stunning with sparkle :)

Anywho I may when I have spare time go back and complete the few crumpet challenges ive missed :)

Water marble!

So this mondays challenge for PAA is water marble. Im fairly new to water marble, i find its sooo hard to get every nail to look nice. I only ended up doing the one hand due to this :)

I started off with two coats of CG white on white.
Then i added the following:
- CG Pool party
- CG Sun worshiper
- CG Yellow polka dot bikini
- CG Kiwi Cool-ada
- CG Towerl boy toy
I topped all this off with one coat of my SF 35 topcoat.

I find the color combo looks alot like old school tye dye!!!
