OPI DS Magic

Hello lovelies!!!! Hope you all have had a great week. Thought id get one more post in before the start of the weekend. I'm heading up to see the niece and nephews tomorrow after work so ill be gone till sunday.

As you guys know I tried PVA glue as a base coat the other day and it worked great. The glitter just pealed right off. One complaint thou is that if you chip it the rest comes off really easy. I was doing alot at work that day and lost 2 nails during the day. One on each finger so my hands looked weird all day lol. But ill definatly keep using it.

For today thou I thought id go with a straight color, as I didn't realize how late it was. I was busy making more polishes and doing some glitter searching for a polish im gonna be make to give to a friend to sell for the proceeds to go to cats that need to be rescued. So stay tuned for that.

But for today I decided to pull out a polish I haven't used in a while, OPI DS Magic. I forgot how amazing this polish is. Its a bright blue shimmer that shifts purple. Its an absolutly gorgeous color adn a definite must have for any blue lover. For this manicure I used 3 coats.

Look how pretty that is, sadly couldn't get the purple to show up :(

Anyways dolls I need to pack and head to bed, Hope you all have a great weekend <3

LDoS: BBQ Fun

I did it!!! This is the last Lazy Days of Summer challenge, BBQ fun!!!! Im so glad that I got these all done in time. Even thou it did mean painting my nails a ton yesturday. Definatly not going to fall behind like this again hehe.

So for BBQ fun I had a really hard time deciding on something that would be cute and girly still. So I goggles "Summer BBQ" and seen pictres of picnic tables and people together so I decided to do a Picnic Basket, as you can always use one to bring goodies to the BBQ ;) Im definatly going outside of the box for this one.

So you all know a "Braid" manicure, well I decided to do a "Basket Weave" manicure. Which is alot harder then what I thought it would be to keep straight lines. And since I dont like browns I used pink and purple for it hehe.

So I started out with painting my nails with 2 coats of Depend 305. I then did stripes going down my nails with Depend 316, and then did lines across my naisl with Depend 305 agin to cover up parts of 316.

I know its not the greatest mani, I think if the lines were better it would have been perfect. But im happy with my first attmept at this.

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

LDoS: Inspired by something in your house

Good morning everyone, the posting of the Lazy Days of Summer challenges continue!!! The first one of the day is "Inspired by something in your house". For this one it was a no brain-er for me. I am in love with my drapes. They are grey with black circles so that I can change the other colors around and they will still match.

So for the manicure I started out with 2 coats of Julep Stefani. Its a really pretty color, goes on in 2 coats but is a bit streaky. I then used Finger Paints Ch-art-coal Black Striper to free hand on parts of the circles.

I think I captured it pretty good. I didnt want to do whole circles so I think the partial circles capture the drapes well. Kind of like the movement you get in them.

Frankening Fun!!!!

Good evening dolls, as Ive said in past posts tonight, is that I have been playing with my new base and glitters. So I thought id do a post showing you my 3 that I made tonight and show you my manicure using one of them.

I have so many ideas for polishes now that I had to order more glitter in order to create them.  So defiantly stay tuned for more franking fun.

The first one I made was a clear base with different sizes, colors and shapes of glitter. I thought it was very unicorn, and rainbow like that I decided to name it Whimsy.

Whimsy, 1 coat alone, 1 coat over black, 1 coat over white, 1 coat over CG Dance Baby.

The second one I made was a white base with different size adn shapes of blue and green glitter. I was trying to capture the colors of the water but suspended in a milky white.

Sea Breeze, 2 coats alone.

The last polish I made is Pink Power *the hubby named this one* which is a pink base with yellow, purple, and white glitter, in different sizes and shapes. For this polish I was just combining different colors that I love together in my favorite color, pink :)

Pink Power, 3 coats alone, 1 coat over white, 1 coat over Orly Beach Cruiser, 1 coat over black

Whimsy is by far my favorite out of the 3 I made and so I decided to wear that one first. For this manicure I started with 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl and 3 coats of Billie French White. I then did 1 coat of Whimsy on each finger.

I definatly love this manicure. I'm not sure if I prefer it over white or black thou.  I also used PVA glue as the base for this so Ill let you know how the removal goes.

Well doll its bed time for me after all the posting today. Hope you all have a great night <3

LDoS: Summer Nights

Well dolls this is the last Lazy Days of Summer challenge post for me tonight and its Summer Nights. I wanted to try and re create that gorgeous deep blue night sky that you see when outside at night around a camp fire. Enjoying that lovely fresh summer air :)

So I decided to start of with 2 coats of OPI Russian Navy which is a gorgeous deep blurple. I then added one coat of the famous Max Factor Fantasy Fire, and then oped that off with 1 coat of Catrice Return of the Space Cowboys.

I think this has to be one of my favorite layering combos ever. I didn't want to take it off to do the next manicure. I loved this so much that Ill be painting my toes with it. Just look at the sparkle, and the depth in the color. It reminds me just like a night sky. Even the flash spots help to compliment it by looking like the moon. I'm just madly in love with this.

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

LDoS: Summer Days

Post number 2 of the night is another Lazy Days of Summer challenge, Summer Days. This one I was kinda sneaky about. I didnt know what to do for it so I googled "Summer Days" to get some inspiration and the China Glaze Summer Days collection popped up. And sure enough I own 3 of those color, Cherry Pie, Strawberry Fields, and Grape Juice. So I decided to take two of those and do a manicure with them.

I took Strawberry Fields, and Grape Juice and alternated them, using 3 coats of each. Its been a while since Ive used either color and I forgot how pretty they are. Especially together!

I do love these colors but dont like that you can still see some VNL on the middle nail. But they are still gorgeous none the less. I do promise you that for the fall challenge the posts will be better spaced as we will be doing one a week, so I shouldn't fall so far behind next time.

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

LDoS: Favorite Fruit

Well today I had a very busy/productive day. Since im so far behind on this challenge, I had 5 left and it ends on the 31st, I completed the last 5 challenges today. I also got my glitter order finally so I created 3 polishes. And of course ordered more glitter he he.

So ill post all of these posts over the next couple of days so be prepared for alot.

The Lazy Days of Summer challenge that im showing you now is Favorite Fruit. My favorite fruit is a cherry. I absolutly love them. So this manicure was quiet easy to decide on.

I started out with 3 coats of OPI Pink Friday. Once dry I used my dotting tool and my Red stripe rite to add the cherries. I then sued a Dark Green stripe rite for the stems.

I absolutly love the way this came out. I think its soooo adorable!!!

Wing Dust Collection polishes :)

Hey dolls, hope you all are having a great Monday!!! Today I received my bottles, so now I'm just waiting on my glitter then I finally get to play with making my own polishes!!! Im sooo excited I can't wait. I really want to make some Halloween one, already got a few ideas in my head :) I bought 35 minis and 10 full size. figure i'll start off with minis and if I love something then i'll make it full size.

Now I bought my bottles of a lovley friend of a friend who creates her own Indies. And in my box of bottles were 2 of her amazing creations!!! I couldn't believe it, such a sweet thought of her and I was so excited to see that they were blue as i've been on a blue kick lately :) They were called Under The Sea and Fly Me To The Moon. You can check out her facebook page here at Wing Dust Collections or her Etsy shop.

The first polish is Fly Me To The Moon which she describes as "I wanted to try and create something that would look like galaxy nails but without all the hard work. Black and blue glitter base with blue shimmer, holo bits, blue hex and diamonds, and white glitters combine to make one sparkly polish", which totally describes this polish. I used 1 coat of it over 2 coats of Billie Purple.

I couldn't believe how well this polish applied. I got a nice amount of the differnt glitters on each nail with out having to fish around for them!!!

The second polish is Under The Sea which she describes as "Inspired by a classic Disney flick- Little Mermaid of course! Clear base with holo glitters, fine blue glitter, and lots of black and blue and green multi-sized hex". I am madly in love with this one as I adore The Little Mermaid!!!!!!! I also used 1 coat over 2 coats of Billie Purple.

This combination is just perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better!!!!! And just like the other polish, no fishing around at all. Which makes it a dream to apply!!!! Definatly impressed with her polishes <3

Anyways dolls I hope you all have a great night :)

True Blood

Hey dolls, hope you all had a great weekend!!! Mine was really relaxing up north. Got to see a cute little town Ive never been to, lay by the lake and watch a family of deer outside the dining room window. There were 4 adults and 2 babies and they were absolutly adorable!!!! Ill post a few pics at the end of them. Sorry for the bad quality as it was through the window and they kept moving around all over the place, ha ha.

So for tonight's manicure I decided to do a True Blood one since the 5th season ends today. I'm very sad as im a huge True Blood fan, read all the books and seen all the episodes. So I figured it be very fitting. Since each finger is different ill tell you what I used on each finger after the picture :)

Thumb : Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, then I hand wrote True with Finger Paints Hip Hip Hue-ray Striper, and Blood with a Red Stripe Rite.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of Essence Color & Go in Nude It, then I used a Red Stripe Rite
 to draw on the blood.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl, I stamped on the fangs/lips with plate OB26 and Konad White. I then filled in the lips with a Red Stripe Rite.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, I then sponged on China Glaze Hey Sailor and a bit of  Red Stripe Rite on the tips.

Pinkie: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White, I then used an old brush and splattered on China Glaze Hey Sailor and Orly Liquid Vinyl. Was my first time splattering polish :)

I really love the way this turned out. I definatly think it represents True Blood. And im so glad I got the OB26 plate as I love the fang image!!!!

Now for the adorable deer :)

Orly Halleys Comet and Lunar Eclipse

Hey dolls, I decided to do a quick post tonight. I leave for Muskoka after work tomorrow for a weekend away with the bestie for her birthday so thought id get a quick post in first :) But first thought id share that I finally got my hands on some suspension base, and got myself 20 glitter samples on there way, also getting some bottles so I can play around making my own polishes!!!! Cant wait so stay tuned for swatches at some point.

Now for tonight manicure I wanted something that'll look good for the weekend while laying on a beach and such so I decided to use Orly Halley's Comet and Lunar Eclipse both from the Cosmic FX collection.

I forgot how much I loved both of these colors. Ive had them since they were released and definatly haven't worn them enough. Halley's Comet is an awesome teal green shimmer and Lunar Eclipse is a blurple shimmer. Both are perfect in 2 coats.

But I hope you all have a great weekend and ill be back on Sunday <3

LDoS: Thirst Quencher

Good morning everyone!!!!! Hope your week is going good. I decided to finally do another LDoS challenge today as were starting a new one in September and I still have some posts left to finish lol.
Today's Lazy Days of Summer Challenge is Thirst Quencher. It took me a while to come up with an idea for this one, but yesterday it finally came to me. In October me and the hubby are going to Cuba for our first wedding anniversary. So I decided to do a mani based on my favorite tropical drink, a Miami Vice.

So a Miami Vice for those of you that have never had one starts off with Strawberry Daiquiri mix, then Pina Colada mix and then its topped off with Blue Curiacco. They are absolutly delicious!!!!

So for the manicure I started off with 2 coats of Orly Winter Wonderland. I love this color its like a platinum white glitter. Applies really nice in 2 coats. I then sponged on China Glaze Cherry Pie near the cuticle and Orly Stone Cold on the tip. I tried to use sparkly colors to make it looks like slush.
This also reminds me of those Rocket Popsicles he he.

These nails are soooo sparkly in real life, I cant stop staring at them <3

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

AiS: Cant wait for fall

Good morning lovelies!!!! Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Today I have a Adventure in Stamping Sunday Challenge for you. Today's challenge is "Cant wait for fall". I looked through all my plates and one 1 design reminded me of fall. That was the leaf design from the Drk-A plate. So I decided to base my mani around that.
For the base I used 2 coats of Orly Rockin' Rocket. I wish I would have snapped a picture of just the base coat but I forgot :( Its a stunning red/brown with gold shimmer. It was a dream to apply, in just 2 coats.
I then stamped over top of it with the leaf design using Essie Good as Gold. I really need to get more of the mirror metallics. They are awesome!!.
I really love this combination. I love the fall leaves and the changing of the colors and this just yells fall in my eyes. Not that I want summer to end yet thou lol.
Well dolls hope you have a great Sunday and tomorrow hopefully Ill have time to do more of my LDOS challenges :)

Jawbreaker Heart Beat

Good afternoon dolls!!!! Ive had a productive Friday. Since I dont work till 3 I figured id do my hair and make-up all nice and then do some nail art on my fingers. What a better way to spend a Friday morning then to paper your self :)

So last night I started out by painting my nails with 1 coat of Billie French White then 2 coats of Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker. This is the first time Ive painted a whole manicure with this color and I loveee it. Sadly I couldn't get the red squares out of the bottle thou :(

Now I wanted some form of nail art on my nails but didnt want to over power this gorgeous color so I googled Jawbreaker and came across a heart beat manicure onto of it on flickr. So I had to try it!!!!
I used my Art Club Black stripper for this.

Isn't that adorable!!!!!! I love it <3 It has to be the easiest nail art ever as it doesnt have to be perfect.

Now as I said I also did my make-up all nce today. I decided to go with a white to pink to purple lid today and love it. This is from  a 120 color pallet that I got a few years back at a make-up show.

Hope you all have a great weekend <3

My first Catrice!!!

Hey dolls, hope you all are having a great week!!!! Ive had a pretty busy one with work and such. Yesterday I came home to some nail mail from a dear friend which contained my first Catrice polishes and some more adorable Depend ones!!!!

Return of Space Cowboys, Godfather of Pearl, Dirty Berry, Heavy Metallic, 305 and 316.

There was some delicious chocolate and candies but my husband and parents devoured em before I got the picture taken lol.

So of course I had to paint my nails with a Catrice polish. I started off with 2 coats of Heavy Metallic. This polish was almost a one coater. The formula on it was fantastic. Once I was done that I had to use one of my Million Styles top coat so I added one coat of Godfather of Pearl. This combination is fantastic. The formula on it was great too. The only thing i have to say that's bad about Catrice is I dont like there brush. I dont know why but man was I ever messy with it lol. I then last night stamped the mani using Sally Hansen Silver Sweep with BM-320 plate to make it look like a water marble.

Overall I love this mani, yesterday I couldn't stop staring at the base color. Its definatly a great combination!!!!

Now I thought id share some pics of my Merf being lazy this morning hehe. He is definatly feel much better!!! Hope you all have a great day!!!! <3

Olympic Closing Ceremonies

So since today is the Olympic closing ceremonies and I haven't done an Olympic manicure yet, even thou Ive watched them every day lol. I figured this was the perfect time to finally do one before it was too late.

I wanted to do 5 different designs on my nails so it took a bit of planing but I love the way it turned out. I used alot of different polishes for this so ill list them after the picture :)

Thumb: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I used different sized dotting tools to make the rings. For the London I used the Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black again.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. The white stripe is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black. I then did a coat of Orly Shinning Star and then a coat of Julep O'Canada.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor and I used a Finger Paints stripper in Hip hip hue-ray to do the diagonal white lines.

Pinkie:  Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I just used a thin brush to paint the lines.

All this was done free hand and I love the way it turned out. Think its really colorful and spirited.

Also just wanted to give you all a friends reminder about my blog sale which you can find on the tab at the top. I'm also willing to swap from stuff on my wish list <3

Pretty & Polished Beach Bunny

Hey dolls as promised I have a Pretty & Polished swatch for you today!!! I decided to layer 1 coats of Beach Bunny over 2 coats of China Glaze Pink Plumeria. I cant believe how well these two polishes go together. I was very hesitant at first on getting Beach Bunny but once I put it on I feel in love. Ive seen that this glow under black light so ill have to find that out one day he he.

I love the depth that you get in the glitter with only 1 coat. Its insane. My camera kinda freaked out with this one so the color is actually more pink in real life then what this show.

Now I have something very NPR to show you but im really proud of ha ha. As you know on my weekend off I try and go fishing with my dad. Well usually I only catch weird or little fish. Well today when we went out I thought I caught weeds. As I was reeling in I got a sudden pull on my line thinking I caught more weeds. Next thing I know my dad yells you don't have weeds you have a big fish. So as i got this fish close to the boat and I can see it being the girly girl I am I keep moving further back from that side of the boat ha ha. My dad netted it and to our surprise this is what I caught :)

That is my first musky!!! He was 30 inches long which is too small to keep as they have to be 48 inches or larger. And of course I was two chicken to hold onto the chain for the picture so my dad did before be released him back into the lake.

Well that was my excitement for the weekend. It definitely was alot of fun.

Tomorrow I finally have a Olympic mani to show you all that I did for the closing ceremonies :)

Giraffe Print

Hey dolls, sorry for being MIA this week, had to work, haven't been feeling well, and did hair twice this week. But I have been painting my nails a bit :)

The other day I wanted to use some of my China Glaze Safari polishes and remembered seeing an awesome Giraffe manicure done with some of them so I decided to try it. I used 2 coats of Desert Sun on  all my nails except my ring finger where I used 2 coats of I herd That. I then did a bit of I herd that on the tips of all the fingers. Once it was all dry I stamped with a mixture of Kalahari Kiss mixed with Konad white, since it wouldn't stamp well on its own, with plate BM-313.

I do love the way this turned out, I actually kept it on till last night and I did it on Monday night.

I also came home yesterday to a group order of the Pretty and Polished Pre-order, I ended up painting my nails with 1 of the 2 I got but ill show you guys that tomorrow :)

Look at those pretties!!!!!!

Sea Lore Ariel

Hello everybody!!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!!!! Today I have a special post for you, not only do I have an indie polish to show you but I also took a picture of my eye make-up yesterday as I loved it!!!!

So of course its nail time first, he he. I started out with 2 coats of China Glaze Aquadelic, which is a turquoise blue cream that applies perfectly in 2 coats. I'm really sad I only have one bottle of this color as I love it sooo much but hate using it since I don't want to run out but it was perfect for this mani.

I then applied 1 coat of Sea Lore Ariel over top which is a clear base with different sizes and shapes of red, purple and green glitter. The reason I choose Aquadelic as the base for this is that I also got the Ariel ring from her which I decided to try and match my nails to and I think I did a pretty good job :)

I love this polish. the glitter was really easy to get out of the bottle and applied really nice. I'm in love with The Little Mermaid so that makes this polish even better :)

Now onto the make-up!!!! Yesterday I decided to do a light blue, purple and gold combo. I used a Real Colors pallet that I got from Sally's for this. I love the way it turned out I also lined my lower lash line with the gold to bring it all together.

Hope you all have a great day <3

AiS: Brooze, Silver, and Gold

Good morning dolls, hope you all are having a great weekend so far!!! I figured id do my post early this morning since Mr. Merf woke me up early so I stamped my nails already!!!! Hes doing so much better, being his old mischievous self.

Last night I painted my nails with my new China Glaze TMI!!!! I am sooo impressed with this color, its was almost fully opaque in 1 coat!! Ill definatly have to try stamping with it. Today's Adventures in Stamping challenge is Bronze, Silver and Gold. Since I don't own a bronze polish *I'll have to change that* I decided to use silver and gold :)  I decided to use my BM-310 plate and stamped using Essie Good as Gold, and then used a dotting tool and added dots of Sally Hansen Silver Sweep.

I really like the way this turned out, wish my dots were a bit more even thou. But I definatly am loving the gold with the TMI, they really compliment each other.

Hopefully tonight or tomorrow ill have to try my new Sea Lore polish :)

Have a great day lovelies <3

LDOS: In The Garden

Hey dolls got another Lazy Days of Summer Challenge post for you all today!!!! But before that an update on my kitty :) I picked Merf up today and found out the technical name for the thing he has is Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. Pretty much mean he has a sensitive bladder that bleeds due to stress and lack of water. So I know have to have him on an all wet diet, and of course the vet gave me their stuff which is $43 dollars for 15 days so if anyone know anything about this and know anything that can help my poor Merf it be greatly appreciated.  The food hes on right now is Royal Canine Urinary OS Wet. Been doing some research and seen Purina Pro has a similar one that I might try when I'm out of this one :) But besides all that Merf is doing good, acting like his adorable normal cuddly kitty self <3

Okay so now onto the nails. This manicure didnt turn out anything like I had in mind.... I started out with 2 coats of Orly Fresh, I then added one coat of Orly Mermaid Tale. This base was ment to represent grass..... I then stamped ontop with Konad Red, Pink and Yellow with BM-306.

I think if it didnt have the glitter it would have looked better. Guess ill know for next time ;)

What do you all think of it??? I must say I love Orly Fresh thou!!!! Its a great green polish!!!

Now I though before I post the links to the other people in the challenge id show you my awesome nail mail today!!!!

I got 2 of the China Glaze OMG collection from a doll in my birthday group!!!!1 TTYl, and TMI are now mine!!!! And some cute extras!!!

And a close up of the bottles!!!!

I then got my first Sea Lore polish called Ariel!!! I love the Little Mermaid by the way hehe. And a matching ring. This is my first piece of nail polish jewlery cant wait to paint my nails it and wear the ring together!!!!

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

My first braid manicure

Hey dolls, I'm sorry for not posting early today or last night. Last night I was busy taking pictures of all the polishes I have up for sale and adding them to my blog sale tab, so please make sure you go take a peak. And this morning I had an emergency with my cat. I woke up to him peeing blood. I was really worried as there was blood on my carpet so I called the vet got an appointment and took my Merf in. All day I was worried sick about him, got a call this afternoon and hes okay!!! He has irritable bladder syndrome (or something like that). Apparently his diet, stress and other things can cause his bladder to bleed. Since hes so young and there no cure for it im gonna have to watch him, change his diet and keep him calm. Even thou I have no idea why he'd be stressed. So tomorrow after work I get to pick my fur-baby back up and the vet will educate me some more.

Now that you guys got to hear about my stressful day, I figured I needed a very happy manicure to lift my spirits so I decided to try my first braid manicure since it would be colorful :) I must say I love how easy this manicure is!!! I do find that my right hand turned out much best which is weird since im right handed.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Aquadelic, China Glaze Dance Baby and Julep Blake. For the solid nails I used 2 coats of the China Glazes which applied beautifully, and 3 coats of Julep Blake which was a big streaky mess but I love the color. For the braid part I started with 2 coats of Dance Baby and then used 1 coat of each for the braid.

I must say I love this color combo even thou it is kinda Easter-ey. I did want to show you both my left hand and right so you can see the improvement. You can see on my right hand the spacing of the braids are much more even. Although I wish the tips were smoother didnt realize that just looking at them, nor the hair on the left lol. But besides that im in love!!!

Anyways dolls, time for bed for me to get some rest before work and before my Merf comes home <3
