My halloween nails

Hey dolls!!!

Today was my first day in my new store, and I cant tell you how exciting it is!!!! I have a meeting all day tomorrow so I had to do my Halloween manicure tonight. I decided to go the simple colorful route this time.

I started out with 3 coats of OPI Hi, Pumpkin. I then did one coat of Julep Anne on the tips. I then took a Black Stripe Rite and drew on the spider webs. When that was all done I decided it needed something else so I made a glow-in-the-dark top coat out of pigment I got the other day. I got 6 different glow colors and for this one I choose green :)
I got the inspiration for the design from this blog.

I cant believe how well the glow pigment works. this was only after about a minute of exposing my nails to the night. Its insane!!! bad thing is is that you can see anywhere it touches the skin so it took me a while to clean up.

Anyways I hope you all have a happy and safe Halloween <3!!!!!

Fall into Autumn: Halloween

Hey dolls!!!

Its the end of the week again!!!! Tomorrow is my last day at my current store and its quiet sad, ill miss my girls, but im also really excited for whats ahead. I was nice yesterday and decided to bake the girls cupcakes before I left. So I made them Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter chips. Topped with Peanut Butter icing with chocolate chips on it. They are delicious!!!

But enough about cupcakes and onto some nails. Today I have the Halloween challenge for you. I think this is my first post using my light box. I need to get a new light that doesn't make my skin look orange, and will get me a bit more light but its getting there :)

So for the Halloween mani I decided to use 5 different colors, with 5 different glitter, and different stamps on each.

Thumb : China Glaze Pelican Grey, Nubar Black Polka Dots, Plate OB26
Pointer: China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Franken - Zombie Rot, Plate OB26
Middle: Julep Anne, Cult Nails Seduction, Yellow Stripe Rite,  Plate BM-305
Ring: Sally Girl Banana, Franken - Witches Brew, Plate BM-301
Pinkie: China Glaze Orange You Hot, Franken - Sweets N' Treats, Plate BM-305

Think Pink

Hey dolls!!!!

Before I leave for the week I thought id show you guys the manicure ill be rocking for my vacation.

I made a franken is honor of breast cancer for myself and called it Think Pink. Its a clear base with different pink and white glitters in it.

For the swatches its 1 coat alone, 1 coat over black, and 1 coat over Orly Fancy Fuchsia.

For my nails I used Orly Liquid Vinyl on all nails but my ring finger which I used Orly Fancy Fuchsia and then did 1coat of Think Pink.

I really love this franken and will be really happy having this on my nails for the week.

I hope you all have a great week and I have scheduled posts set to post at 10:01 am every day, so make sure to check them out :)

Fall into Autumn : Leaves

Hey dolls,

Hope you all are having a great weekend, and for my Canadian followers, I hope you all are having a happy Thanksgiving!!!!

I am going away on Monday for 5 days with the hubby to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. But while im gone on Tues-Thursday there will be posts on 3 OPI mini sets, so make sure to check them out :)

So for today's post I have the next Fall into Autumn challenge for you which is leaves. A while ago I made a fall franken called Autumn Rising. Its inspired by the changing eave colors of fall, so I thought it was appropriate to use that for today's post.

These swatches are 1 coat alone, 1 coat over black, and 1 coat over Julep Rachel.

But for today's manicure I decided to start off with 2 caots of OPI Taking the Stage, from the Burlesque collection. And then do 1 layer of Autumn Rising over top.

I do really like this combination, I think it really shows the colors of the fall.

Well dolls you'll get 1 more post from me tomorrow, and then dont forget about the scheduled posts!!!

Now if you want to see more awesome manicures, head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

Franken: Witches Brew

Woo 2 posts in one day, seems like im back on a roll. Lets see if I can actually keep it up this time ;)

So last night I couldn't resist and had to tr one of my new Halloween polishes as a full mani. And of course since im in love with Witches Brew so much and have gotten so many compliments on it, I had to try it first.

I started out with 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl, and then did 1 layer of Witches Brew, which is a clear base with orange, purple and black glitter. I apologize for the pictures, they really dont do this polish justice. But i promise ill be making a light box in the very near future :)

I cant believe how much I love this polish. I never thought I would love something that I made this much but this is sooooo me!!!! So glad I put this on. Oh and I tried it without the glue base coat because I finally got my little nail soakers for removing stubborn polish yesterday so ill do a review on those as well.

Have a great day everyone <3

Final two Halloween Frankens

Hello dolls!!!

Last night when I got home from work I decided to create my last two Halloween polishes.
I decided to try doing more in tinted bases so I came up with Zombie Rot and Pumpkin Guts.

Zombie Rot is a green base with purple and black glitter in it. I can either build it up to opacity or layer it over a green or black.
For the swatches its 3 coats, 1 coat over China Glaze Paper Chasing, 1 coat over black.

I must say I love how it looks over black. The green shimmer transforms it into almost a dark green.

Pumpkin Guts is a orange base with black, white, orange and yellow glitter. For this polish i was inspired by the inside of a pumpkin. Again I can build this one up to opacity or layer it over a orange or a black.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, and 1 coat over black.

I think overall I love all the polishes I made layered over black. I just think that glitter looks so sharp when you layer it over black no mater what the color.

I have loved making polishes for Halloween, cant wait for Christmas to make more themed ones!!!!

My Halloween Frankens :)

As promised yesterday, today I have a post on the Halloween polishes that I made yesterday. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the cool make-up, extreme lashes, and awesome costumes. And i also love the colors and the creative polishes that come out around then. So of course I had to make some of my own polishes for me to wear next month :).

I want to make 6 all together but for now I have 4.
Oger Brains, Hallows Eve, Witches Brew, and Sweets N Treats.

Oger Brains is a clear base polish with a ton of different shapes, sizes and tones of green glitter. I really wanted an all green glitter, as its defiantly a representation of Halloween but also can be worn any time of the year.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, 1 coat over black, and 1 coat over China Glaze Paper Chasing.

Hallows Eve is a black jelly base with different sized Orange glitter with a few black glitter. This one is supposed to be kind of erie. I wanted a true Halloween polish and figured black and orange were the way to go.
For the swatches its 1 coat, 2 coats, and 3 coats. Then 1 coat over black.

Witches Brew is a clear base polish with different orange, purple, and black glitter. I absolutly love orange and purple together so this is the one I was most excited for.
Its inspired by which leggings he he.
For the swatches its 2 coats alone, 1 coat over white and 1 coat over black.

And lastly is Sweets N Treats, which is a clear base with orange, yellow and white glitter, in different shapes and sizes. I was trying to go towards the candy that you get around Halloween, mostly candy corn which you dont really see the rest of the year.
For the swatches its 1 coat alone and 1 coat over black.

I defiantly love this collection so far. I think I have a good assortment going on and cant wait to wear some of these out. Definitely will be wearing Witches Brew first as I cant even stress enough how much I love it. Its so much fun creating your own polishes, my glitter stash is slowly growing :)

Creativity Challenge : Sports

Hey dolls!!!!

I'm sooo sorry that I've been MIA for a week. Last Sunday I started reading 50 Shades of Grey, Ive read all 3 books since. I was absolutly hocked on them. The story behind them is actually really good and captivating. Sadly thou my nails did get put aside this week. I wore my last manicure until Thursday night, I then finally changed it but of course didnt have time to do a blog port due to the book. But i finished those last night and im now back!!!!

So for today's post I have a franken I made for a Creativity Challenge I have in a group. This polish is supposed to represent "Sports". I decided to make one for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

For this polish I used different blue and white glitter in a clear base.

For the swatches its one coat, one coat over CG Kinetic Candy, and one coat over black.

I decided to wear one coat over black and I loved it. Be sure to check out in the next week for a "Fall" inspired polish. I really love playing with glitter, I just got 11 more and have 13 more on the way. So ill defiantly be playing alot in the near future. And I promise to be back more now <3

AiS: Toxic or Poisonous

Hello lovelies!!!

I hope you all have had a great weekend. I know mine has been pretty good, getting to go to the fair yesterday even thou it rained for most of the day. But I still made the most of it.

Today however I have the Adventures in Stamping sunday challenge for you, which is Toxic or Poisonous. Since im still loving my apple nails and didnt want to fully take it off, I decided to expand on it. In case you didnt see the apple post I created them using Orly Fresh and Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide.

I ended up removing my pinkie, pointer and middle fingers. I then did 3 coats of China Glaze Sun-Kissed on them. Once dry I did a layer of my franken `Apple Blossom the middle finger. I then stamped a skull on my pinkie and pointer fingers using Konad Black and my MLS-05 plate.

So obviously I decided to go the poisonous apple route. I like how the colors are so bright and I think the glitter ties the green adn yellow together. Of course the apple is also fitting as were getting into fall and apple picking season!!!

Any who dolls I hope you enjoy it and have a great sunday!!! <3

Frankening Fun!!!!

Good evening dolls, as Ive said in past posts tonight, is that I have been playing with my new base and glitters. So I thought id do a post showing you my 3 that I made tonight and show you my manicure using one of them.

I have so many ideas for polishes now that I had to order more glitter in order to create them.  So defiantly stay tuned for more franking fun.

The first one I made was a clear base with different sizes, colors and shapes of glitter. I thought it was very unicorn, and rainbow like that I decided to name it Whimsy.

Whimsy, 1 coat alone, 1 coat over black, 1 coat over white, 1 coat over CG Dance Baby.

The second one I made was a white base with different size adn shapes of blue and green glitter. I was trying to capture the colors of the water but suspended in a milky white.

Sea Breeze, 2 coats alone.

The last polish I made is Pink Power *the hubby named this one* which is a pink base with yellow, purple, and white glitter, in different sizes and shapes. For this polish I was just combining different colors that I love together in my favorite color, pink :)

Pink Power, 3 coats alone, 1 coat over white, 1 coat over Orly Beach Cruiser, 1 coat over black

Whimsy is by far my favorite out of the 3 I made and so I decided to wear that one first. For this manicure I started with 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl and 3 coats of Billie French White. I then did 1 coat of Whimsy on each finger.

I definatly love this manicure. I'm not sure if I prefer it over white or black thou.  I also used PVA glue as the base for this so Ill let you know how the removal goes.

Well doll its bed time for me after all the posting today. Hope you all have a great night <3

LDOS: Pool Party

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!! I know I did relaxing and then spending today at the beach as im back at work tomorrow. So what better way to end a vacation then to make a polish for today's Lazy Days of Summer Challenge : Pool Party.

I was originally gonna do a jelly sandwich using Revlon Royal and a bunch of different glitters but decided to combine it all in a bottle and see how it turned out. And it is complete and utter love!!!!!!

I started out with an empty Orly topcoat bottle, poured a bit of Revlon Royal in and then added in Kleancolor Sugar Coat, China Glaze Snow Globe, 365 Days of Color Explosion (wish there was more of this in there but didnt want to use this whole awesome polish he he), Models Own Juicy Jules and Models Own Indian Ocean. I then topped it up with clear.

And here's what came out of these 6 colors :)

Now this color is even better in person, I had a hard time trying to capture the color accurately. The depth of the glitter is insane as well. I keep getting distracted by my nails white typing this he he.
For this photo I used 3 coats, in the picture you can see a bit of VNL but in person its not really noticeable.

So the reason I choose this idea to represent pool was I thought the blue base represented water in a pool and the glitter is to be bits of streams adn confetti in the water after a huge party. I know its a bit of a stretch but I lovessss it.

Also just a quick reminded about my blog sale tab up top!!!

Now if you want to see more awesome summer head on over to visit the other lovely ladies who are participating in this challenge!!!

Revlon Grape Franken

I was snooping on the Spectraflair face book page the other day and saw a franken that Lori did with SF and Revlon Grape. Since it looked totally awesome I had to try it out. I filled about 2/3 of empty Seche Vite bottle with the Revlon Grape, then added 3 good scopes of SF-14 and then topped it up with clear and shock it like crazy, after adding in some silver balls. And this is what was created :)

I loved the way this turned out the holo was insane in the sun!!!! And I speak past tense there as I wore this today and already changed my manicure for tomorrow but ill post that tomorrow as im going away for the weekend again :)

Also thought id show you what I bought from Sephora today!1 I used these for my current manicure :)

I got a set of Tokidoki nail decals and one of there polishes called Stellina,
which is a pink and purple glitter!!! I also took another picture of my hair as promised, this was after putting hot rollers in it.

I'm loving the way the colors blend into each other, definatly gonna keep this for awhile :)

Hope you all have a great Friday <3

ASBMF: My last challenge

Well I do believe this is the first challenge I have completed from beginning to end, and I must say I loved it!!!! Especially since I was able to go at my own pace :) I cant wait for the summer version to start!!!

The last challenge was " The spring design of your choice". I decided to do a night sky, since I love how in the spring/summer you can just sit outside and look up at the sky and stare at the stars and get lost in it. It has to be the most relaxing thing ever <3

For this manicure I used two of my frankens that I made for my birthday group girls. The base is 2 coats of "Helen" which is a deep blue/purple holographic polish. I then did one coat of my 12th polish which is a hologrpahic glitter called "Nail Junkie" on the ring finger and I lightly burshes it on the tip half of the nail to act as the stars.

I really love the way this combination looks. I tryed to capture tis true beauty in the picture but it just doesnt do it justice. I swear ill ty and get a picture of it in the sun tomorrow as I think itll come to life even more in it.

The top two and bottom right are with flash. The bottom left is no flash. The bottom right I tried to capture the way the colors shift through to polish.

And some exciting news, im picking up the polishes for my 100 follower giveaway tomorrow so be sure to come back tomorrow night and enter :)

Butteryfly stamping

I know I said I was going away today but I got sent home from work sick today since I have like no voice and kept coughing, so I figured it was best not to go up to a trailer when its raining and cold and im sick :( Really sucks thou since I really wanted to go fishing but hopefully ill feel better for tomorrows trip down town.

Ohhh also I added labels to all my blog posts to make it easier to narrow things down for you guys :)

So since I stayed home I decided my nails needed something extra to cheer me up so I stamped over top of my neon's with the DRK-A plate and Konad white.

It was a hard decision on which image to use but I thought the butterfly's fit nicely with the bright colors, and I thought white would be softer looking then black. I cant even tell you how much im loving stamping. Its just so quick and easy. I cant wait till I get as good as some people Ive seen doing double stamps with full nails and small images on top. One day ill get there.

Any who I hope you all have a great weekend and that you guys get better weather then the rain that they are calling for here :)

The Nail Junkie Birthday Group Collection

A few months back I decided to make a set of polishes representing the lovely ladies in my birthday group. I made 2 of each one for me and one to send to the doll who's polish it was. It took me a while to make them all as I was waiting on SF and some stuff from TKB but after spending this morning making them like crazy they are done!!!! You can see individual swatches on my "Birthday Group" page if you'd like to see a larger picture and my color since I only have 10 fingers he he.

So I did decided to do a skittles manicure with them all. Each color has 2 coats. You may wonder why there are only 11, sadly one girl had to leave the group so for the 12th im trying to think of an awesome topcoat that would compliment all the colors. Also please excuse the nubbins, I broke a nail really short yesterday so had to file them all down :(

I names the polishes after the girl so the colors are as follows :)

Left picture thumb to pinky : Zoe, Alyssa B, Tracy, Helen, and Kathrin

Right picture thumb to pinky : Janelle, Alexia, Nicole, Alyssa C, and Miagi Cat

The girls are all loving them all and wanting them all so who knows I may make more of these or just more polish is the future. I did enjoy it just need to work out some kinks :)

Snoopy Nails :)

A little while ago I seen an awesome manicure done by Rachel over at Glam Polish. I loved everything about her manicure!!! Whats not to love thou about holo polish and snoopy? So after seeing this I had to order some of the nail water decals from Born Pretty. I ordered the Snoopy set and a Hello Kitty set.

Now one thing I learned about these water decals are if you try adn do it like a normal tattoo where you put the design on the nail and a wet sponge on top, I noticed the design was all white but I was able to peel it on my nail and flip it. So for the others i wet the paper and slid the design off and just placed it on my nail. Found this to be really easy, took me about 5 minutes to do both hands :)

I started out with 2 coats of a SF-35 polish I created a while back. I love Spectraflair and how versatile it is. I cant wait to make colored polishes with it.

I then used the Snoopy decals on my nails. Top two pictures are with flash bottom to are without.

Aren't they adorable!!!!! I cant even express how awesome these things are, soo affordable, soo quick and easy. Whats not to love? Ill defiantly probably be using these alot now after how much Ive fallen in love with them :)

Now tomorrow a new game comes out, so I do appologize if I'm away more often for the next week but im very excited about Diablo 3. However I do already have some blog posts ready for you lovely readers <3

Ludurana Magnifica!!

For the past few days now Ive been wondering when some of my nail mail is going to get here as I have about 15 polishes, 3 plates and a new stamper set coming. I was soooo happy today when the hubby checked the mail and I had not only 1 package but 2!!!!! The first was my very first Ludurana Aurora Boreal Magnifica which I bought from Ninja Polish and the other was  Actin-ium My Age from Elemental Styles.

Aren't they pretty???

Now it was a tough decision to decide on which to paint my nails but the Ludurana won :)

Magnifica applied like a dream, I did 3 coats for these pictures even thou I could have gotten away with 2. I also used a coat of Seche Vite on this and it didn't lose any of its holoness.

Please dont mind the stianed thumb and pointer finger, got red hair dye on them that I cant get off.

I also decided to add foil stars to the ring finger for an accent :)

this is only my second try at foils i think I'm slowly getting better at them, there is definatly a learning curve with them :)

Now after trying out this polish I'm definatly going to have to invest in more of these babies!!!! Make sure to check back tomorrow and ill post a picture of the Elemental Styles :)

One last thing thought you guys would like to see my latest franken!! I was inspired after receiving this polish :) Mmmm holoy goodness :)

Ladybugs :)

Here I go combining 2 challenges again :) PAA Monday challenge is polka dots and ASBMF day 2 challenge is Lady bugs. So i figured these two were easiest enough to combine as ladybugs have polka dots he he.

So since I didn't want the lady guys to totally overrun the manicure I only did them on my thumb and ring finger for accent but did polka dots on the others as well.

For the base I used 2 coats of China Glaze Vertical rush. I then used Orly Liquid Vinyl for the french tips, art club black stripper for the lady bug lines and a dotting tool for the dots. I used Billie French White for the eyes with the dotting tool also. I then did a layer of my SF 35 topcoat as I love the holoness, I'm kinda addicted to it he he.

My husband thinks that this is the best quality Ive done yet. That the "bring red" is just amazing. He he don't you love the way men describe things?

I love how well you can see the SF topcoat in these pictures. For once my camera actually captured it well. I cant remember the last time I painted all my nails red, but I must say I am liking it. And  the lady bugs are sooo fitting for spring :)

April showers bring may flowers challenge : Spring Pastels

Today I'm starting a new challenge that you can do at your own pace. It has 14 different themes, all relating to spring of course, that you can do when you have time but in the right order. She has a face book group created that you can join to participate in and post the photos/blog post with others to share :)
Hannah from Polished Prisms created this challenge and you can see a list of the themes and her blog post about it here.
I'm really excited about this challenge as I cant always do the ones where you have to complete them on certain days. I don't usually have enough time to do them all or spend as much time on them as id like. So at least with this I can do it when I have the free time to dedicate towards it.
So for today's Spring Pastels I decided to do a skittle manicure as a base for tomorrows Easter eggs :).
I surprisingly own a ton of pastels so it was hard to decided on which colors to use.

I decided to go with Finger Paints Aren't you glad-iolous?, OPI Banana  bandanna, China Glaze, Aquadelic, Orly Cotton candy, and Sally Girl # 812165. I then applied a coat of my SF 35 top coat over each finger to give it some shimmer :)

I love the color combo of this and cant wait to turn this into Easter eggs tomorrow :)
