Party Nails!!!!

Hey dolls!!!!

Thought id do a quick post and show you guys what I did today for my 25th birthday party tonight. I decided to do a pink theme since I loveeee pink. And since I love to bake of course I made my own cupcakes!!! I decided to do a dark chocolate cupcake with fresh raspberry icing!!! I even took fresh raspberries and simmered them down!! They are delicious!!!

I then decided to make some yummy Jell-o shooters!!! Since my favorite flavor is Fuzzy Navel (orange jell-o and peach schnapps) I used my pink Jell-o shooter cups to put them in.

And last but definatly not least the pink nails!!! I wanted pink but with a twist so I painted my nails with 4 coats of Billie Electric Pink, then used 2 coats of Julep Katie in different angels, and on Julep Kate I used a Black Stripe Rite to make Zebra print. I must say I really love the way these turned out!!

And that's the start of my party tonight!!! Now to go find something to wear to fit with my theme!! I hope you all have a great weekend <3

Stamping and Dots

Good morning lovelies!!!!

I figured id do my post this morning since I love this manicure so much and cant wait till I get home tonight.

This is the first time Ive used 3 different plates, 2 different colors and a dotting tool, all in one manicure!!! And I can tell you now that it wont be the last time I do this as its sooo much fun.

So for the base I started out with Essence Color and Go in Wake Up!. Its a nice orange cream that applies perfectly in 2 coats.

Once that was dry I looked through my plates to see what Halloween ones I own, turns out I have 3!!! OB26, BM-305 and to-10 (I got it from chez delaney), and I used Konad White and Black from the stamping. Once the stamping was done I took Billie Purple and China Glaze Kiwi Cool-ada and did dots in those, which I think completed the mani. Ill tell you what plate I used one each finger :)

Thumb - BM-305
Pointer - OB 26
Middle - OB 26
Ring - OB 26 and BM - 305
Pinkie - to-10

What do you guys think??? I was originally only gonna stamp with black, so if I decided from the beginning to do the 2 colors I would have reversed the middle finger. But I still love this. I think its stinking adorable for Halloween!!!!

Anyway dolls hope you all have a great day!!!!!

FiA: Cloudy Days

Hello Lovelies!!!

Today's post I am sooooo happy with. Not only did I try my first saran wrap manicure using 4 colors but I also stamped over it. So for the Cloudy Day manicure, I was going to create dark clouds on my nails using saran wrap.

I started out with 2 coat of China Glaze Immortal, which is dark grey with blue and pink shimmer in it from there Halloween collection. Once dry I used saran wrap and dabbed on Julep Jessica, China Glaze Kinetic Candy, and Billie French White. Once those were all dry I dabbed on a bit of China Glaze Immortal. I then added one coat of Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat, to make it look like the clouds are wet from raining.

I loved my nails like that but then I decided I haven't stamped in a while since Ive been soo busy frankening that I decided to use my BM-312 plate and stamp clouds over it using Konad Black. And I think the stamp completed it all. I am in love with how well this manicure turned out :)

Wing Dust Collection polishes :)

Hey dolls, hope you all are having a great Monday!!! Today I received my bottles, so now I'm just waiting on my glitter then I finally get to play with making my own polishes!!! Im sooo excited I can't wait. I really want to make some Halloween one, already got a few ideas in my head :) I bought 35 minis and 10 full size. figure i'll start off with minis and if I love something then i'll make it full size.

Now I bought my bottles of a lovley friend of a friend who creates her own Indies. And in my box of bottles were 2 of her amazing creations!!! I couldn't believe it, such a sweet thought of her and I was so excited to see that they were blue as i've been on a blue kick lately :) They were called Under The Sea and Fly Me To The Moon. You can check out her facebook page here at Wing Dust Collections or her Etsy shop.

The first polish is Fly Me To The Moon which she describes as "I wanted to try and create something that would look like galaxy nails but without all the hard work. Black and blue glitter base with blue shimmer, holo bits, blue hex and diamonds, and white glitters combine to make one sparkly polish", which totally describes this polish. I used 1 coat of it over 2 coats of Billie Purple.

I couldn't believe how well this polish applied. I got a nice amount of the differnt glitters on each nail with out having to fish around for them!!!

The second polish is Under The Sea which she describes as "Inspired by a classic Disney flick- Little Mermaid of course! Clear base with holo glitters, fine blue glitter, and lots of black and blue and green multi-sized hex". I am madly in love with this one as I adore The Little Mermaid!!!!!!! I also used 1 coat over 2 coats of Billie Purple.

This combination is just perfect. I couldn't have asked for anything better!!!!! And just like the other polish, no fishing around at all. Which makes it a dream to apply!!!! Definatly impressed with her polishes <3

Anyways dolls I hope you all have a great night :)

True Blood

Hey dolls, hope you all had a great weekend!!! Mine was really relaxing up north. Got to see a cute little town Ive never been to, lay by the lake and watch a family of deer outside the dining room window. There were 4 adults and 2 babies and they were absolutly adorable!!!! Ill post a few pics at the end of them. Sorry for the bad quality as it was through the window and they kept moving around all over the place, ha ha.

So for tonight's manicure I decided to do a True Blood one since the 5th season ends today. I'm very sad as im a huge True Blood fan, read all the books and seen all the episodes. So I figured it be very fitting. Since each finger is different ill tell you what I used on each finger after the picture :)

Thumb : Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, then I hand wrote True with Finger Paints Hip Hip Hue-ray Striper, and Blood with a Red Stripe Rite.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of Essence Color & Go in Nude It, then I used a Red Stripe Rite
 to draw on the blood.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Orly Liquid Vinyl, I stamped on the fangs/lips with plate OB26 and Konad White. I then filled in the lips with a Red Stripe Rite.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Stone Cold, I then sponged on China Glaze Hey Sailor and a bit of  Red Stripe Rite on the tips.

Pinkie: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White, I then used an old brush and splattered on China Glaze Hey Sailor and Orly Liquid Vinyl. Was my first time splattering polish :)

I really love the way this turned out. I definatly think it represents True Blood. And im so glad I got the OB26 plate as I love the fang image!!!!

Now for the adorable deer :)

Jawbreaker Heart Beat

Good afternoon dolls!!!! Ive had a productive Friday. Since I dont work till 3 I figured id do my hair and make-up all nice and then do some nail art on my fingers. What a better way to spend a Friday morning then to paper your self :)

So last night I started out by painting my nails with 1 coat of Billie French White then 2 coats of Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker. This is the first time Ive painted a whole manicure with this color and I loveee it. Sadly I couldn't get the red squares out of the bottle thou :(

Now I wanted some form of nail art on my nails but didnt want to over power this gorgeous color so I googled Jawbreaker and came across a heart beat manicure onto of it on flickr. So I had to try it!!!!
I used my Art Club Black stripper for this.

Isn't that adorable!!!!!! I love it <3 It has to be the easiest nail art ever as it doesnt have to be perfect.

Now as I said I also did my make-up all nce today. I decided to go with a white to pink to purple lid today and love it. This is from  a 120 color pallet that I got a few years back at a make-up show.

Hope you all have a great weekend <3

Olympic Closing Ceremonies

So since today is the Olympic closing ceremonies and I haven't done an Olympic manicure yet, even thou Ive watched them every day lol. I figured this was the perfect time to finally do one before it was too late.

I wanted to do 5 different designs on my nails so it took a bit of planing but I love the way it turned out. I used alot of different polishes for this so ill list them after the picture :)

Thumb: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I used different sized dotting tools to make the rings. For the London I used the Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black again.

Pointer: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. The white stripe is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black.

Middle: Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. And I wrote the lettering with Finger Paints stripper in Ch-art coal black. I then did a coat of Orly Shinning Star and then a coat of Julep O'Canada.

Ring: Base is 2 coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor and I used a Finger Paints stripper in Hip hip hue-ray to do the diagonal white lines.

Pinkie:  Base is 2 coats of Billie French White. For the design I used konad blue, red, and yellow, China Glaze I'm with the lifeguard and Finger Paints striper in Ch-art coal black. I just used a thin brush to paint the lines.

All this was done free hand and I love the way it turned out. Think its really colorful and spirited.

Also just wanted to give you all a friends reminder about my blog sale which you can find on the tab at the top. I'm also willing to swap from stuff on my wish list <3

Elemental Styles Neon Lights

Good morning everyone!!! Hope your all have a great weekend so far!!! Mine hasn't been too bad, just spending lots of time with the hubby and spoiling him for his birthday. We went to a comedy show last night which was alot of fun and today were going to see his family :).

For his birthday I decided to paint my fingers his favorite color which is orange!!! I started out with 2 coats of Billie Orange which is an awesome neon orange cream that actually goes fully opaque in just 2 coats. I then did 1 coats of Elemental Styles Neon Lights which is a clear base with yellow and pink matte glitter over top of the orange. Neon Lights is such a cute color, and applied really nice. No fishing for glitter.

Isn't this a fantastic combo!!! Its a bit hard to see the pink glitter in the pictures, but in real life it is more noticeable. The hubby loved the mani which is what I was going for. Tonight im hoping to stamp over when we get back :)

Well dolls I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!!

Adventure in Stamping : Hot Hot Hot!!!

Sundays challenge this week in Adventures in Stamping is Hot Hot Hot!!! My interpretation of this would either be bright neon colors, or a sexy design. So I decided to combine the two!!! This manicure took me just over 3 hours to do... And that's with a crappy clean up as y skins dry and 2 didnt want to ruin the manicure before the pictures he he.

I started out with 2 coats of Billie French White. I then free handed on rainbow stripes, doing 2 coats of each. The colors I used were: Orly Beach Cruiser (pink), Orly Melt Your Popsicle (orange), Orly Glow Stick (yellow), Finger Paints Silkscreen Green (green) and Orly Blue Collar (blue). I tried to choose my brightest creams for this manicure.

As much as I loved these by them self, they of course needed some stamping :) I used my DRK-A plate and the konad black polish and decided to do leopard print, since animal print is sexyy!!!!

I find the stamping on my right hand turned out but, but prefer the stripes on my left hand lol. I absolutly love this manicure thou, its sooo bright and fun, definatly plan to leave this one on till Monday especially after all the work it too and the fact that I cant stop looking at them :)

Now in case you guys didnt see I have a giveaway for 2 new Orly Glam FX going on so make sure to go check it out and enter it :)

Hope you all are having a great weekend!!!! <3333

ASBMF: Chicks and Eggs

Sorry for no posts yesterday, Ive had such a busy past few days Ive been exhausted. I have down half of the crackle swatching thou and done 2 untried manicures and once challenge. Ill do 2 of the blog posts for you lovely readers tonight :) And hopefully on my day off I can go though and read all of your guys lovely comments <3

So today I did the ASBMF Chicks and Eggs challenge. I took a differnt spin on it wanting to try some stamping. Please bare with me on this one, this is the first time I used Sally Hansen Instant Dry polishes to stamp. I used Fushia Flare and Blue-away, as well as Billie Purple. For the bird I used plate MLS 301 and for the dots and lines I used QA3. The base color is 2 coats of Billie French White with 2 coats of Kleancolor Sugar Coat over top :)

I really like the birds I think they are kind of Chick-ish and I like my little spin on the tradition egg. What do you guys think?

ASBMF: Fresh Cut Lawn

So just wanted to start off this post by informing my lovely readers on an amazing giveaway!!! Carli over at Konadlicious is giving away $500 worth of polish items to one lucky winner! That's right $500, includes gift certificates, brand name polishes, glass bead earings and indie polishes!!! Definitely by far one of the greatest giveaways ever, so go over for a chance to win!!!!

Now onto today's ASBMF: Fresh cut lawn challenge. I figured this was the perfect time to try flocking powder. Not going to lie I did one had left it on for 10 minutes and then removed it. I'm not a fan of being able to feel stuff on my nails and this just isn't practice. It is adorable and fuzzy thou :)

I started off by using Essence Lets Get Lost as the base of the sky. I then used a make-up sponge and dabbed on Essence You Belong to Me and Billie French White. The base for the grass even thou you don't see it was Orly Lucky Duck. And for the flocking powder I used Recollections in Emerald. Don't mind the horrible clean up. Essence Lets Get Lost stained my skin biggg time!!!

What do you guys think about this technique? Would you try it?

Alice in Wonderland and Snow White

Today PAA challenge was Alice in Wonderland.... However last night when I was doing my nails for some reason I thought it was Snow White. So after completing the Snow White hand and realizing this I decided to do one hand Snow White and the other Alice in Wonderland and just tie them into each other. I think it actually worked really well and loved the way it turned out. I actually had a girl that came into my work today take pictures of them :)

I used my OPI Ballet Collection french manicure as the base to both hands :)

First of the Alice in Wonderland. The blue lines are to represent the blue bow in her hair, and the bow its self is on the thumb. Then I decided to do the cherish cat on the ring finger. He turned out more evil looking then what I intended :)

And the Snow White, I used the same bow idea but red instead since that's what she wears, and then decided to do the classic poison apple on the ring finger. I love the way my apple turned out :)

OPI New York Ballet french manicure :)

Yesterday I bought OPI Care to danse? and Pirouette my whistle, and was debating on a manicure to do today that involved them. It then dawned on me that I haven't done a traditional french manicure in ages and thought these would work well.

Well I was right and now I think I need to get the remaining colors.... Oh how my wallet is going to hate me.

So as you may know the New York Ballet colors are really sheer and take multiple coats to get full coverage. The apply really nice and even, which I loved. I think these would be awesome for a subtle glitter sandwich.
I stated out with 3 coats of Care to danse?, I actually really liked this with just 3 coats, you could still see the smile line through the polish which I don't mind. I also love how soft and squishy it looks :)
Then I used my Billie French white and free handed on the tips, I then applied 2 more coats of Care to danse? to to tone down the white and make the base more opaque. If i was to wear Care to danse? alone it would probably be with the 5 coats as it turned out perfect, still soft and squishy but full opaque coverage as well. I then added 1 coat of Pirouette my whistle. I'm sooo happy with the way this all turned out!!! I think its soo pretty and clean looking. Its so not something I normally wear but still really pretty!!

First 3 pictures are with flash the last is no flash :)

Sorry for this being so picture heavy I just loved it so much I had to take lots. Now to try and restrain from buying the rest of the collection >.> lol

Spring french manicure

Today I thought I should do a rather colorful manicure as the warm weather seems to be leaving.  So I hope this manicure might make me and any of you lovely ladies who have crappy weather smile a bit for the summer to come :)

For this manicure I started with 2 coats of Billie French white, then added on 2 coats of Pretty and Polished Party On My Yacht. Once that was fully dried I used nail guides for the french times. The pink is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (one of my favorite pinks), the purple is Billie Purple, and the green is Orly Green With Envy. For the silver line I just used my Silver Stripe Rite . I considered stamping something onto this as well but I thought it was pretty enough with out it and didn't want to over do it. I hope you all love it as much as I do :)

First picture is with flash, second is without.

Billie swatches

Today I took a trip to Dollar Giant to pick up some more Billies. I was hoping to find some for of their neon's which seem really hard to find, but unfortunately there were none so i bought 6 others :)

From left to right are LT. Mauve, Plutonium Plum, Majestic, Iron Red, Steel Blue and French White

LT. Mauve is a lilac cream, This took 3 coats for the picture and was really thick and streaky but smoothed out on the last coat. This would have to be my least favorite of my Billie polishes for application.

Platonium Plum is an awesome plum metallic shimmer, this color is sooo nice in person. I almost didn't want to take it off to continue swatching. It applied soo nice I almost could have gotten away with 1 coat but used 2 for this manicure.

Majestic is an almost taupe/purple metallic. It was really streaky when applying it and took 2 heavy coats for this manicure. I don't know how often ill use this as i'm not the biggest fan of the color.

Iron Red in a coral red metallic shimmer. It applied really nice in 2 coats with full coverage. Again this color is gorgeous. I really think these metallics might be good for stamping, ill have to try them out :)

Steel blue is a blue metallic shimmer. This color also like the others applied perfectly in 2 coats. This would be an awesome toe color in the summer especially if you through a SF topcoat over top to add some holoness to it :)

French White is a white cream. I had very low expectations for this as whites usually don't apply nice but this one took 2 coats and was full coverage. Applied like a dream. Will definitely be using this as my go to white and for $1.25 how can you beat that?

I'm going to have to go to the Dollar Tree again and see if I can get some more Billies. I definitely love this brand and you cant beat its quality for its price. Definitely a great investment :)
